BRINGING HISTORY FORWARD

The 37 is reviving the community minded intentions of the original Masonic Hall

A STORIED PAST

Our history was born out of the community’s need for public and professional space, and that is precisely the legacy that we aim to preserve for the future.

The 37, originally known as the Masonic Hall of Waynesville, NC, was constructed during the roaring 1920’s. Our building was and remains the tallest building in downtown Waynesville. Due to the building’s elevation and centralized location, the third floor’s Grand Ballroom boasts breathtaking views of the surrounding Smoky Mountains. The 37 has lived many lives over its 90+ year existence including a dance hall, movie theatre, radio station, wrestling arena, and concert hall.
